Glaze yams

Years ago, Nanna made sweet yams. Sadly when she passed away her recipes were lost. I tried to look for a recipe similar to hers, but could never find one. This recipe is not like hers, but it is tasty.
Glaze
• honey ( 1/4 cup)
• butter 1 stick ( half a cup)
• cinnamon ( 1 teaspoon)
• sugar ( 1/2 cup)
( I used brown sugar, white is fine too)
• vanilla extract ( 1 tablespoon)

Melt butter, add sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil then pit onto yams. Add honey and cover yams with foil. Put in preheated oven at 400F
For about 25-35 minutes or until yams are soft and cooked. Depends on the thickness of yams. Enjoy!

I used 3 yams.

I diced them and put them in a small glass pan.

Pour the glaze over them and cover with foil.

The end results. While I tried to mix them, some of the yams got mash. But they still taste great.

Lovely year

I admit having a blog seems easy, but I am a full time college student so there are many busy days. Unfortunately, I did not post anything for a long, long time. Hopefully, this is the year that I continue writing and posting frequently about food recipes, fashion, and anything else that I want to share. I can't wait to start sharing with you throughout the year.

Here are few things that happen last year.

2014 Christmas tree

                  Homemade apple pie
I found the perfect pie crust recipe last fall. It was buttery and flakey. Yum.

I bought a small Michael Kors purse last spring.

My cat Molly turn two years old last summer.

                 Alanna's jack o'latern
My niece Alanna carve a pumpkin last halloween.

I decorated my fall semester books with leftover spiderweb that I used to decorate the front gate and door.

A sprinkle cake I made last summer.
