This past week I hit the stores in search of some new summer accessories. I bought things that I knew that I was going to use more than one time. Here are Five things that I bought.

Chic and Simple

This is the perfect summer outfit to run errands in - its comfy,and lightweight. You'll look summer chic. The dress is a sleeveless pink and white striped knit dress with a racerback and round neckline. I paired it with a wide braided leather brown belt, and sandals. A denim jacket and a messy bun completed my look.

French Apple Tart

I was watching Barefoot Contessa on Food Network last night and she was making a french apple tart that looked so good. So I decided to make it today - and I'm glad I did. The french apple tart taste wonderful. It taste like a apple pie - but not too sweet, just sweet enough. The pastry was easy to make, it was crisp, light. The apples were golden, tender, and sweet. A very light fruity dessert for a summer day.

Criss Cross Floral Dress

The criss cross floral dress is perfect for summer. It can be casual or you can wear it as an evening dress. I paired the dress with sandals and floral earrings - and finished the look with a messy bun.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

I came across this website joyofbaking full of beautiful, wonderful looking desserts. And the cream cheese pound cake caught my eye. I wanted to try and make the cake, and I'm glad I did.

The cream cheese pound cake had such a beautiful golden brown crust. And it taste so rich and buttery - and it was super moist. I definitely will go back to this website to make more GREAT TASTING DESSERTS.

Laid - Back Lace

The breezy lace tank makes my skinny grey jeans feel laid- back with a feminine touch. The shoulder bag also gave it a feminine and chic look - And the bright turquoise color added a dose of color to my outfit. Finally the sandals took my laid - back look up a notch.

Fancy Stripes

I wanted to wear my sleek black skirt, but with a shirt that would make it appear casual. So I paired the skirt with a classic blue & white stripe tee shirt. Mary Jane heels and a heart ring gave my outfit a girly touch. And loose curls finished my look.

My sister Minerva

I love what my sister wore. The shorts has a soft earthy look. She paired the shorts with a flowy white top that has girly crochet details. She paired it with a black sleek belt, black oxfords shoes, black watch, and a rhinestone flower stud earrings. A ballerina bun and a swipe of bronzer finished her summer boho look.

Donut Muffins

Donut Muffins

For those of you that don't know, a donut muffin is a mini muffin that taste like a cinnamon sugar doughnut. Which for me is the best thing ever because, I love doughnuts. And it is so simple to follow the recipe, which only requires a very few ingredients. I think what i love about the recipe beside that it taste wonderful, is that it requires NO EGGS. Which is perfect if you don't have any eggs - and don't want to go to the store. It's simply delicious with a cup of coffee - all of your troubles will feel like it simply went away. Enjoy

ingredients

Made the batter in a large bowl.

I used a ice cream scooper to make sure they were all the same size.

got them out of the oven

blush some melted butter onto the donut muffin

rolled them in a bowl full of Cinnamon and sugar.

Yummy 

had them with a cup of coffee.
